Rich Milnor received his B.A. from Washington & Lee University in 1970. He attended the Washington & Lee University School of Law and received his J.D. degree with honors in 1974. He served as law clerk for United States District Judge Ted Dalton in the Western District of Virginia. Following his clerkship, he joined the law firm of Michael & Dent, Ltd. He then served as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for Albemarle County, Virginia from 1983 through 1987. He became a partner with the law firm of Taylor & Zunka, Ltd. (now Zunka, Milnor & Carter, Ltd.) in October, 1987. He maintains an active civil trial, appellate litigation practice in state and federal court, including a defense litigation concentration in insurance, civil rights, workers compensation and product liability. He also has an active selective expungement petitions, criminal law practice with an emphasis on misdemeanor offenses and speeding & reckless driving traffic offenses, DUI cases, underage alcohol possession charges, and representation of college and high school students in various matters.
